چکیده

The seismic performance of prefabricated hollow circular piers with socket and slot connection was evaluated through model tests numerical simulations. quasi-static cyclic lateral load constant axial were conducted on three large pier specimens. these specimens cast by polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) fiber concrete, the connected to cover beams slotted connections bearing platform socketed connections. investigated in terms failure modes, hysteresis curves, skeleton stiffness degradation, energy dissipation, residual deformation. test results showed that, within a certain range, increasing compression ratio is able enhance shear capacity increase cumulative but it not beneficial ductility. In addition, span significantly reduces increases deformation specimen, ductility improved. established ABAQUS. result simulation consistent similar experimental damage modes load–displacement curves. Finally, parametric analysis carried out basis model.

Experimental Strengthening of the Two-way Reinforced Concrete Slabs with High Performance Fiber Reinforced Cement Composites Prefabricated Sheets

Reinforced concrete structures need to be strengthened and retrofitted for various reasons, including errors during design and/or construction, so in most cases strengthening of structural elements is much more economical than rebuilding the structure. Using HPFRCC with tensile stiffening behavior has been developed to strengthen the concrete structures over the recent few years. In this paper,...

Seismic Design of Concrete-Filled Circular Steel Bridge Piers

The adequacy of the existing design provisions for concrete-filled steel pipes subjected to axial forces and flexure is reviewed by comparing the strengths predicted by the CAN/CSA-S16.1-M94, AISC LRFD 1994, and the Eurocode 4 1994 codes and standards against experimental data from a number of investigators. New proposed design equations are then developed, in a format compatible with North Ame...

Seismic Behavior of Prefabricated Column-Footing Connection

Results of an experimental investigation of the seismic performance of prefabricated column-footing connections are presented. Tests were conducted on six 1/4-scale prefabricated column specimens inserted into prefabricated footings in two Groups. Group-1 consisted of four specimens, which were tested under constant axial load and cyclic inelastic lateral displacements. The remaining two specim...

Plastic hinge models for the seismic assessment of reinforced concrete wall-type piers with detailing deficiencies

Plastic hinge models are widely used in earthquake engineering to predict the load-deformation relationships of reinforced concrete members. For the seismic assessment of bridges, it is appealing to use those relatively simple models if the response is predicted with sufficient accuracy. The applicability of these models to wall-type bridge piers with weak seismic detailing is examined. Flexura...
